Nike’s D/MS/X line has provided tech-focused sneakerheads with plenty of highly complicated yet easily wearable lifestyle silhouettes, one of which is the N110 D/MS/X, a shoe that is set to release in a sleek “Phantom” colorway. Inspired by the process of breaking down and building up custom cars and bikes, these Nike shoes use translucent materials and copious layering as their two main design points, making for a bold look. The upper is dressed almost entirely in neutral tones, with a loosely-knit mesh base surrounded by light and flexible Flyknit. Translucent TPE then appears on the quarter, showing off a Swoosh trimmed with red that pokes through the midfoot and loops around the collar before coming to rest tucked behind the heel. A bold yellow on the collar then adds a little more flair, while blue D/MS/X branding arrives on the tongue’s pull tab. Down below, the sleek midsole is split in two by a large white plastic shank, adding both support and style.
