Austin marks the fifth studio album from American rapper and singer Post Malone. Released on July 28, 2023, via Republic and Mercury Records, a bonus edition with an additional track came out five days later. The album's production involved Malone himself alongside Andrew Watt, Louis Bell, Max Martin, and Rami Yacoub. It received support through four singles: "Chemical," "Mourning," "Overdrive," and "Enough Is Enough." Notably, this album in the synth-pop, indie pop, and alternative rock genres stands as Malone's initial project without any featured guest appearances.
Austin garnered positive feedback from music critics and made its debut at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. In its opening week, the album accumulated 113,000 album-equivalent units, with pure album sales accounting for 34,000 units.
